If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that I did not want to buy a whole new maternity wardrobe for this pregnancy. I was able to get away with wearing my regular clothes up until around 18-19 weeks. That’s when it started to become uncomfortable with pants mostly. But every woman is different (can’t stress that enough!) when it comes to this, so it’s important to have some solid, reliable maternity pieces once the time comes.
For a long time, I felt like sneakers should only be worn to the gym with athletic gear. I was never really into Converse or Vans so an everyday sneaker didn’t fit into my style. But as I’ve gotten older and sneaker styles have become more transitional to everyday wear, they are some of my favorite pieces of footwear.
Isn’t it great how styles or patterns make a comeback? I love how tortoise shell accessories are big this season! I’ve honestly been keeping the trend alive all these years with sunglasses, glasses and hair clips because I have always loved the look. It’s such a nice alternative to the usual black, especially for someone who could literally dress in all black everyday.
How fun is it to shop for baby clothes? Ever since we found out we were having a girl, I’ve been building her little wardrobe. I feel like a baby stylist and am having so much fun with it. I wanted to make sure she had enough for her first 3 months, and some other pieces for 3-6 since we don’t know how big she will be in the beginning.
We’ve reached the eight month mark! Crazy to think that we could have our baby girl with us as early as six weeks from now. Regressing a bit to the first trimester symptoms and feeling very fatigued (can you tell by my tired eyes?). But so, so excited to meet our girl and expand our little family.
Before I left for studying abroad in Italy, everyone told me I had to come back with awesome leather goods. The one item everyone recommended purchasing was a leather jacket. I was a broke college student at the time, so didn’t end up getting one my first time around and regretted it. Then I went back in 2011 and was determined to find the perfect one to add to my wardrobe.
So as I’ve been adding pieces to my maternity wardrobe, I’ve realized that not all maternity jeans are created equal. There are definitely a ton more options out there than years ago. However, many didn’t fit my style taste or lacked in quality. I only have three pairs of maternity jeans because I felt that was good enough to get me through the 9 months (and after). These solid dark wash, a light wash pair (now sold out but similar here), and now my favorite maternity jeans in black.
I wanted to share the best fall accessories under $50 – yes you read that right! It can often times be financially unfeasible to stay on trend for every season. But the below styles won’t break the bank, and some are even under $20! So have some fun and shop away my friends :).
Sweater | Tee I know I probably said this in my 20 week update, but I can’t believe I’m 30 weeks pregnant! Only 10 or so more weeks until we get to meet our little girl, and Pete and I are beyond excited. I always said once we hit October it’s going to fly by,…
Who doesn’t love the weekends? For many, it’s the time to decompress, relax and reset. Unless we have something fun planned or are having a date night, I’m usually in comfy clothes perfect for lounging. Lately this style has been my go-to with the growing bump (30 weeks!) since not much else fits me right now. But, I am not complaining because this look is the most affordable, cozy weekend wear! And 100% baby bump approved.
