Hello friends! I’ve missed you all. I’ve been wanting to write this for a while now, but with having a newborn, it’s hard to find a free moment! As I start writing this, I’m lucky to have my mom here to give me a little bit of freedom to blog. The past 7 weeks have been an amazing whirlwind of love, learning, crying (Claire AND me) and laughter.
One of my all time favorite combos as a neutral lover: black and camel. It’s classic, sophisticated and feminine without being girly. All things I try to achieve in my personal style on the daily. It’s also a combo that can be styled year round with just different types of pieces.
With less than two weeks to my due date, I wanted to make sure my hospital bag was mostly packed and ready to go. The doctor said it could pretty much happen at any time now! I’m someone who likes to be prepared and organized in advance for trips, events, etc. So what will probably be the biggest event of my life is no exception. Of course I wanted to write a post so that all my currently pregnant mamas and ladies out there trying to conceive can use this as checklist when their time comes. So here goes!
Ever since I started my blog, I knew I wanted to dedicate a post to sharing my absolute favorite bras. It’s a pretty important topic for us women considering it’s something we wear (almost) every single day of our lives! As someone with an average sized chest (34-36 C pre-pregnancy), I have a wide variety of styles to chose from at many brands.
So we are officially in the home stretch – 37 weeks pregnant! I can’t believe my due date is just three weeks away. We are so beyond excited to meet our little girl, to hold her and see what she looks like. I anticipate that these last weeks are going to feel slow, so I’m going to try and just relax and prep for her arrival. These are our last few weeks as a family of three, so Pete and I (and Woody!) are spending a lot of quality time together as well.
There are so many fun gifts out there that don’t have to break the bank. Maybe you’re part of a Secret Santa at work, or you do a grab bag with your sisters and girlfriends. In each case, you’ll want to get something cute and fun for a steal. That’s where this gift guide comes! Here are 10 gifts $10 and under that won’t break the bank this holiday season.
Sometimes during the holidays we can all get “wrapped up” with buying gifts for everyone on our list that we can forget ourselves! The season is really about spending time with family and friends and spreading the love. However, don’t forget to treat yourself during this time whether it’s extra pampering or with that cozy robe you’ve been eyeing as a way to close the year and get ready for a new.
Shout out to all my scorpios! It’s our season and time to shine (from Oct 23 – Nov 22). I was certainly feeling all the feels a couple of weeks back for my birthday night out to a beautiful dinner with Pete and my 8 month baby bump. It was especially fun because it was the first snow of the season here in Kansas City and it felt extra special for some reason.
Many times shopping for guys can be even harder than shopping for the women in our life! Both Pete and my dad are pretty low maintenance and don’t buy themselves much, so it can be hard to shop for them when it comes holiday time. If you can relate, check out this gift guide for the men on your list as I put a lot of thought into the assortment with both Pete and my dad in mind! There are great items for the low maintenance dad to the outdoorsy brother.
I love shopping for fresh, fun holiday outfits! It’s such an exciting time of year and there are so many fun textures and colors. This year is no exception even though I’ve got an eight month baby bump the size of a basketball! At this point in my pregnancy, I wanted something that was true maternity to be comfortable. I knew I’d find the best and widest variety of outfits at Pink Blush because they are the maternity wear experts.
