Wash: Authentically Yours (the perfect vintage blue)
Fit: Straight leg (more of a wider leg opening compared to the Curve Love Straight Leg)
Rise: Basic High Rise (11″)
Sizing: True to size (I’m wearing a 29 Regular but should have ordered a 28) (Would not recommend sizing up since they will stretch out with wear)
Size Range: 23 (000) – 34 (18)
Length: 26″ only
Stretch factor: None (100% cotton)
Denim Thickness Scale: High (similar to the Abercrombie Mom Jeans)
Highlights: Perfect vintage blue wash, high quality feel, perfect distressing. Awesome “lived-in” feeling after you break them in, with a flattering silhouette. Fit around the hips and waist also make your butt look pretty awesome!
Potential Drawbacks: They will be tight and stiff at first before you break them in. Also, since there is zero stretch, the distressing can tear more when you bend or kneel (this happened to me!). Potential shrinking if dried in the dryer, so I would recommend hanging to dry.
Ideal For: Anyone who isn’t a huge fan of stretchy jeans and likes sturdier denim. Or, if you are like me and prefer the way straight jeans look over skinnies. I’d say these would look great on all body types!
Overall Thoughts: I think Levi’s either tie for first or come in second to Abercrombie for my favorite denim brand. I’ve been wearing their jeans for years and years now (remember in the 90s??) and love that they are making a comeback. I just really like the 100% cotton fabric and the fit on most of their styles. Also, Levi’s have the best back pocket placement making your butt look awesome. That might sound weird, but test them out and see for yourself! The Wedgie Straight is tightest around your midsection and hips, with a looser leg but in the best way. These will become your weekend and farmers market jeans, perfect in time for fall.
