Wash: Can’t Touch This (vintage blue)
Rise: Basic High Rise (11″)
Fly: Button (my personal favorite!)
Sizing: Size up one. If you are smaller on the bottom, I’d recommend getting your true size.
Size Range: 23 (000) – 32 (14)
Length: Regular (27.5″)
Stretch factor: None (100% cotton)
Denim Thickness Scale: Medium
Highlights: Classic skinnies without the super stretchy feeling. Curvy hugging but looser opening at the ankle. 100% cotton, so these jeans will mold to your body and hold their shape over time and washes. Beautiful, on trend vintage wash.
Potential Drawbacks: Zero stretch, so they can be a pain to get on initially and take a handful of wears to mold to your shape. 501 style is more of a “straight” fit through the hips making it a bit uncomfortable at first before they stretch out. Sizing up might cause waist gap for some.
Ideal For: For the zero stretch denim lovers! If you’re loving the mom jean and straight leg trend, these are a perfect skinny leg style for you.
Overall Thoughts: I have to be honest, at first these did not really fit my shape and were a bit uncomfortable. I could barely bend my knees to get on the floor with Claire and couldn’t pull them up all the way to hug my waist and butt. But, after a handful of wears, they have molded really nicely to my body and I love them. Aside from the slight waist gap from sizing up, these are now the only skinny jeans I will wear. I’m a big fan of 100% cotton denim, so I plan on wearing these to death. As mentioned above, the 501 style is more of a straight fit (vs. the Wedgie which is better for a curvy figure) so you might notice the hip area is a bit long and straight. Despite all that, I really love these jeans and think they are perfect for all occasions. They will especially work with all types of footwear (I just got these!), so I’m adding these jeans to my normal rotation.
