Ever since I started my blog, I knew I wanted to dedicate a post to sharing my absolute favorite bras. It’s a pretty important topic for us women considering it’s something we wear (almost) every single day of our lives! As someone with an average sized chest (34-36 C pre-pregnancy), I have a wide variety of styles to chose from at many brands. And let me tell you, I’ve tried a TON. From Victoria Secret’s to department stores like Nordstrom to Kohls and Target. But the brand I go back to every time and have loved the most is aerie.
The Best Bra Ever Made
After years and years of suffering with wired bras that I couldn’t wait to take off at the end of the day, I finally stumbled upon the best bra ever made. It has everything I was always looking for comfort wise (wireless, soft fabric, no padding or clasp) but also gives great support. It feels like I’m not even wearing anything which should be the goal, right? At the amazing price point, I bought the regular style and then the cross back for some extra push up in the front. This bra has seriously been life changing for me and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the stiff, wired Victoria Secret style.
The Bralette Myth
I’m also a huge lover of bralettes and in this category aerie wins again! I really think there’s a common misconception among women where they think bralettes = no support. But it’s so not true! There are so many different styles and fabrics, so you just have to find the one that works for you. For a little bit more freedom from my everyday bra I love this scoop neck, “second skin” style. The comfort is amazing, it comes in a bunch of colors, and you can’t beat the price. This particular style doesn’t provide as much support, but it’s great for weekends or casual errands. I also think it will be a great nursing bra in a few weeks times. Lastly, I love a pretty, soft lace bralette and aerie kills it again in this department. They actually have their own “softest lace” fabric that many styles are made from. I own this racerback style from that line and this romantic plunge. Pretty enough to peak through a blouse on date night and comfortable enough to wear as a new mom. You can’t go wrong! Next I’m looking to try this high neck bralette (good nursing potential?), their unlined full coverage style, and a strapless!
Trust me when I say, you will fall in love with at least one of these styles and will become an aerie loyalist like me. Beyond the brands actual products, I also love the message of inclusivity and self love they promote. Makes me feel good buying from them, like I’m part of the aerie womanhood. And I think we can all get on board with that, right?
