Dress | Mules | Bag (vintage)
Fall is really my favorite season. The temps are cooler, pumpkin and apple are the signature flavors, and cozy sweaters come out of the closet. In this transitional season, it can still be in the 80s in some areas well into late-September. Here in KCMO, it’s cooling down but not cold yet. So this look is definitely one of my favorites for an early fall date night!
I like to keep it casual and classic for our date nights. These days, comfort is also a part of my style equation, so this look is perfect for me. Most date nights I just keep it simple with jeans, a black top or sweater and great shoes. Since I only have two pairs of maternity jeans at the moment, dresses have more been my preference for a cute, comfortable outfit. I also haven’t really been wanting to throw on a pair of heels these days, so mules are a go-to now that we’re heading into fall.
As soon as I saw this shirt dress on the hanger, I knew I had to have it. The material is nice and on the thicker side, so it’s not see through or thin. It will also work well with my growing bump and I can see myself wearing this with OTK boots and a cardigan (also love this cardi) when it gets colder.
Ahh, mules…how I love thee. I literally don’t think I could have too many mules because I love them so much. They are great year round and come in so many different cute styles these days. Also, they slide on and who doesn’t love that. These tassel loafers are so comfortable and go with everything (also in black leather and on sale!). I also love these heeled mules, this pointed toe style (on sale), these penny loafer mules (40% off), and this metallic pair (under $25).
What’s your favorite date night look for fall? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
