Six Months With Claire
My baby is six months (almost seven as I write this). How did this happen?! The first few months after she was born seemed to go so slow. Then, one day, she became a little girl. Curious and inde...

How I’m Investing In Myself This Year
2018 was a WILD ride of a year for Pete and I. We renovated our kitchen in New Jersey, found out we were pregnant, moved cross country to Kansas City, I left my job, and we had a baby. In the middle of all this, I started my blog. For years I have been wanting to express my creativity and passion for inspiration, but always told myself no one would really care ....
Our Favorite Baby Products
It's now been 2 months with Claire, and we've got a pretty good handle on what works and what doesn't. More like what she likes and doesn't like, lol. We got most of the gifts we registered for at the baby shower and then some after her birth. So we were in great shape and had pretty much everything we needed when we brought her home from the hospital.
A New Kind of Valentine’s Day
Sweatpants, wine and cooking with a chatty baby on my hip. That's how we will most likely spend our Valentine's Day night this year. Since we are transplants here in Kansas City, we don't have any family or friends to watch Claire in order to go out and have a date night. However, a night hanging around cooking a delicious (most likely Italian) meal with a bottle of wine sounds really nice.
One Month With Claire
I can't believe our girl is already one month old! Actually, as I write this, she is 7 weeks. But I wanted to get a post up sharing the first month with our little girl. And like her birth story post, I'm going to keep it real and unfiltered for you all.
Claire’s Birth Story
Hello friends! I've missed you all. I've been wanting to write this for a while now, but with having a newborn, it's hard to find a free moment! As I start writing this, I'm lucky to have my mom here to give me a little bit of freedom to blog. The past 7 weeks have been an amazing whirlwind of love, learning, crying (Claire AND me) and laughter.
What I’m Packing In My Hospital Bag
With less than two weeks to my due date, I wanted to make sure my hospital bag was mostly packed and ready to go. The doctor said it could pretty much happen at any time now! I'm someone who likes to be prepared and organized in advance for trips, events, etc. So what will probably be the biggest event of my life is no exception. Of course I wanted to write a post so that all my currently pregnant mamas and ladies out there trying to conceive can use this as checklist when their time comes. So here goes!
37 Weeks Pregnant
So we are officially in the home stretch - 37 weeks pregnant! I can't believe my due date is just three weeks away. We are so beyond excited to meet our little girl, to hold her and see what she looks like. I anticipate that these last weeks are going to feel slow, so I'm going to try and just relax and prep for her arrival. These are our last few weeks as a family of three, so Pete and I (and Woody!) are spending a lot of quality time together as well.
