Black and Camel: The Ultimate Combo

Coat | Sweater (old, similar here & here) | Jeans | Sneakers (similar)| Sunglasses | Lipstick

One of my all time favorite combos as a neutral lover: black and camel. It’s classic, sophisticated and feminine without being girly. All things I try to achieve in my personal style on the daily. It’s also a combo that can be styled year round with just different types of pieces.

Being 8 months pregnant with a huge belly getting ready to take these photos, I wasn’t feeling so awesome or body confident (it’s a struggle to get jeans on!). But after I got completely dressed in this outfit, I felt super confident and put together. That’s when you know you’re wearing an outfit you love.

I wanted to keep the base layer of this look simple so that the coat would pop. This coat is one of my favorite investment pieces of the season. It’s unlined so can be worn in the fall and spring comfortably. But throw on a heavy sweater and a scarf in the winter, and it will work then as well! It’s currently on sale for under $75 and comes in some other great neutral colors like black and grey. Also comes in the more trendy colors of deep green and mustard.

I’m of the mindset that a girl can just never have too many black tops. They are always my go-to whether I’m just running out for the day or going to dinner at night. Who’s with me? The sweater I’m wearing here is from last year, but I also love this fitted turtleneck style and this cozy mock neck. I’ve also been living in my favorite pair of maternity jeans (also love these non-maternity) and they were perfect for the all black look. Throw in a pair of shades (also love these) and some sneaks (found my favorite style in all white!) and there you have it. I can also see this outfit with a pair of suede heels or leopard flats.

The only thing I was missing with this outfit was a great black bag. I’ve been eyeing this one for a while and might just snag it before it sells out again!

Have you been wearing this color combo at all recently? Let me know in the comments!
